Theo on Earth

In my last year of university I had to complete a final degree project on a topic of my choice. I decided to create Theo, this character was created and designed as a concept art for an animated series Called “Theo On Earth”.

This “alien” arrives in Spain wanting to live a norml life but soon discovers that becoming an adult is way harder than he thought.

Theo on earth is a very personal project because it is inspired by my own experiences navigating adulthood and dealing with many of today's social issues, particularly in Spain. These include the housing crisis, the challenges of coming of age, and mental health struggles.

Theo is a versatile character designed to work across different media, such as video games, short films, TV series, or even children's books. By changing just a few details, his story can easily adapt to different formats and audiences. For example, I created a 2D animated short film featuring Theo for another university project. I also developed a classroom project around the character for my high school students during the three month teaching placement required for my Master's degree in Education. I am currently developing a video game based on the same character and universe.
